Who We Are
Banyan Tree Women’s Collective (BTWC) was founded by two Bay Area women. Although they came from very different life experiences, over their years of friendship and sisterhood they shared the vision and passion to create a diverse and inclusive wellness collective founded by women for the women of their communities.
BTWC welcomes all allies, innovators and believers in equality to join the collective regardless of their gender or identity. We believe there is power in community.
Check out our upcoming events:
This class is designed for dancers to explore and combine some of Carmen’s favorite dance genres: Salsa, Samba, Baile Funk, and Funk. Within each class we will warm-up, drill some combinations, dance across the floor, and build our own easy-to-follow mini routine. Towards the end of class, we will challenge you to perform the routine at slow, medium, and fast tempos! We will explore different choreographies every Friday! Ready for a fun challenge?! LET’S GO!
Functional and resistance training using bands, weights, gliders and one's own body weight to improve muscle mass, balance and cardiovascular health.
Ayurvedic Energy Healing is a modality that uses the energy of the 5 elements to bring balance, healing, and bliss. It is similar to Reiki but its lineage traces back to its roots in India with Ayurveda and Yogic sciences. In this class, participants will be led through a guided hypnosis meditation to reach a relaxed and open state. I will provide the energy healing for them as I go around the room and connect with each person. Each class can have a different intention and goal such as grounding, enlivening your passion, finding peace, connecting to your heart, etc.
Within these sessions, we will be talking about Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely life goals that we want to start or have been implementing in our lives. This is a great opportunity to work together as a community, to inspire each other, share ideas, uplift each other when we fall short, encourage each other when we doubt ourselves, and celebrate our wins (no matter how big or small)!

How do you protect your peace? Our ancestors came together to be in community, to storytell with their words and their bodies, to share meals together. This is where healing lies for us all. This event is open to all women and non-gender conforming folks. This is a mini one day retreat offering multiple modalities of wellness and self care.
Space is limited and we ask that you only register if you can for sure attend.
Confirmation 5 days before the event will be required from each participant through email with the facilitators in order to receive full details for the day of the event.
