Program Overview

In partnership with Narika, our program creates a supportive and culturally responsive space for survivors of domestic violence to nurture their well-being through food, mindfulness, and gentle restorative practices. Rooted in Narika’s mission of empowerment, independence, and healing, each session offers accessible nutrition education, shared meals and snacks, breathwork, and guided rest, all presented in simple, practical ways that honor diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and affordability.

Together, we explore food as self-care and preventative care, helping participants understand how everyday ingredients can support energy, calm the nervous system, and reduce inflammation. Through familiar and affordable recipes, visual handouts, mindful eating rituals, and open conversation, women build confidence in caring for their bodies while strengthening community and connection. Each gathering closes with grounding practices for stress relief and reflection, offering tools that can be carried into daily life to support long-term for healing and resilience for survivors of domestic violence.
